Greetings from Paraguay!
We have a question for you… Sometimes, do you feel like a ‘wishbone’? Yes, I know, you are thinking, ‘They have been out in the Paraguayan sun too long!’ (Maybe so, we have started our 18th year of ministering in this land.) In praying and planning for the upcoming year, we are finding that the Event Calendar is filling up quickly with youth events, music conferences, mission conferences, weddings, scheduled visitors, prayer conferences, … just to name a few. All of the ‘special events’ coupled with the ‘regular weekly schedule’ keep us moving forward. We are thankful that when the pressures or the ‘wishbone stretching’ begin to be felt, we can rely on the fact that God is with us and is in control. We are keeping our eyes on the vision that God placed in our heart years ago and rejoice as we reach our different goals. How about you, are you being ‘stretched’ this year as you complete your personal vision?

WE PRAISE God THAT:
The Acosta Ñú Children’s Hospital: BECAUSE OF THE EXCITING & UPLIFTING RESULTS OF THIS MINISTRY, WE HAVE DECIDED TO CONTINUE SHARING THE MONTHLY RESULTS DURING THE YEAR 2010. WE HOPE THAT YOUR HEART REJOICES WITH US AS YOU HEAR OF THE MANY LIVES BEING TOUCHED.
The 4-hospital visits in January gave us opportunity to pray with 248-children and parents. There were 119-parents and older children who prayed the prayer of salvation!
The CEB Church: The Bathroom Complex construction has started! (See pictures at the end of this report.) It is interesting to note that much of the ‘first work’ was done below the ground level, (the digging and the laying of stones and cement to form the foundation). It was hard work under the hot sun, but with constant effort, all was put in its place. To look at the work in progress there isn’t much to see and what there is isn’t very attractive with piles of dirt, rock and bags of cement scattered here and there. But, without this ‘first step’ in the construction process, the bathroom complex would collapse around our ears and all our work would be for nothing. We need $10,000 to finish the bathrooms.
We see the same thing is happening in the spiritual area of the church. We have dedicated the first few weeks of this year to teach the church on ‘membership’. With growth comes the need for order. We are ‘digging and laying a spiritual foundation’ on which a strong church is being built on the Word. Even though we can’t see a lot of results at this moment, we know that our efforts will pay off and the church body will be strong as we continue to grow over the years.
Join us in PRAYING for:
CEB Church Construction: As we reported, the Bathroom Complex is under construction, praise God! We soon need to begin to focus our attention on the planning of the next step… the building of the first phase church building. Pray that we walk in the planned timing of God, faithfully doing our part.
A second area that needs your intercession: two years ago, the owner of a property beside us promised to sell us her lot of land. At that time the land was tied up in a legal dispute and she could not sell it. The time is coming in which we need to purchase this property, please pray that the legal dispute be settled, that she will keep her promise, and that we may be able to move forward without hindrances.
CFC Prison Ministry: PRAY! The latest word is that we are going back in… we have been approved. We have learned from past experiences that things have a way of changing at the last moment, so join us in binding the evil forces that are trying to keep us out. We declare that we will shine forth the Light of the Word in this prison once again and claim all of the lost souls within, in Jesus Name!
Pray for the country of Paraguay: Many of the news reports are very tragic, filled with deaths, robberies, kidnappings and the like. We continue to tear down the spiritual strongholds over this country and declare that Jesus is Lord over Paraguay! We speak life, joy, peace and shine forth the Word of God in as many areas as we can touch.
Thank you for your faithful prayers.
