Greetings from Paraguay!
A slightly delayed ‘BLESSED AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU’…but really, it is never too late to be thankful and bless others! Since ‘Thanksgiving Day’ is not a Paraguayan holiday, the office was open as usual. But this year we made a special effort to celebrate! Late afternoon we braved the ‘traffic’ and made our way to the Pinedo Shopping Mall. There we went to eat at Kentucky Fried Chicken… no turkey, but there was coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy! After window shopping, we topped our ‘special dinner’ with ice cream…oh, the luxuries of life!
But more importantly, at the top of our ‘Thankful List’ are all your names and faces. We are truly thankful for the part you play in our lives…thank you, may God bless you, over and over!
**The Hola Club Children’s Hospital:
During the month of November, we visited the Children’s Hospital 3 times, sharing and praying with 304 parents and children, with 139 people choosing to pray the prayer of salvation!
**There were no special testimonies that stood out to our volunteers this month, but they did express the joy of seeing hearts changed as they shared the love and Word of God. What a blessing it is to extend your hand to touch the little ones and feel the anointing flow into them…their little bodies can’t help but respond in healings!
Once again, we ask that you continue to pray protection for the volunteers…many of us have felt the anger of the enemy against us or our families, but we refuse to stop doing what God has placed in our hearts!
**The CFC Prison Ministry:
Even though they have already served several years in prison, some of our men are now going before the Judges to receive their sentencing.
Humberto is a young husband and father who has been serving time for a double homicide. God has done such a healing in his heart and life, that the only thing that he wants to do is “tell the truth and receive the just penalty” for his actions. He could be sentenced for 35-Years.
Even though in the natural their futures do not look too promising, these men are praising God for what He has done in their life and the lives of their families through the Resurrection Church and CEB Bible Institute classes in the prison.
Pray strength and favor as these men go before their judges. Pray that as the years’ pass, they will be instrumental in helping other prisoners to look to God.
**A PERSONAL DREAM:
A few weeks ago, I, Connie had a dream that has stayed in my heart; I would like to share it with you. You can determine if it was a ‘pizza dream’ or a word from the Lord to us all!
In the dream, we all were at the church, each doing their assigned work; when we suddenly heard a voice say “It is time, it is time to put on your wedding gowns!” We rejoiced as the words echoed around us! Immediately everyone began to respond to the command. Some of the people were dressing in the most beautiful flowing wedding gowns… all bright and shiny. Others had wedding gowns on, but theirs were not made of satin and lace… more like cotton… BUT, they had a gown! There were some members of the church who were searching, but they couldn’t seem to find their gowns anywhere. As I looked around, I noticed that the leadership of the church was so caught up with ‘trying to help the people get dressed’, that we almost forgot to put on our own wedding gowns.
When I awoke, my heart was rejoicing, but I had an urgent desire to share my dream with our Staff and the CEB Church leaders.
Do me a favor please… check on your wedding gown and make sure all is in order!
**Jerry’s Extended Trip:
I, Connie, am very pleased to have Jerry back home! His trip to the USA with Pastors Victor and Marlene Cardozo was a great blessing. They have returned with many stories and a new desire to lead our church into greater things in the Lord. When the Cardozo’s flew home, Jerry continued to Guatemala in November to attend the Bi-Annual Directors Meeting. As always, they treated the Directors like royalty! After returning to Denver on the 14th, Jerry had just 30 hours to prepare for the return flights to Paraguay leaving Denver in the early morning hours of the 16th. Knowing that the return trip was to take some 40 hours, with a 24-hour layover in Peru, Jerry was able to contact some believers in Lima, who gave him a place to crash and then a tour of the capital city. By the time he arrived home, Jerry was looking a ‘little worse for wear’, but his welcome hug was strong! We are thankful for the care, protection and provision of our Father God for both of us during this time. God is faithful!
We ask for your prayers as we continue to direct the LWT-Paraguay Ministry. We need wisdom, favor and increase in finances.
