December 2011

Dear Friends and family,

December… children check off the days; parents balance and/or juggle their checkbooks in anticipation of this last month of the year; and nearly everyone overloads their calendars with holiday activities.

We joined in the ‘holiday madness’ and had a great time preparing for and spending the Christmas time with our family. It had been four years since we had had the opportunity to be in the States and personally spoil our sons, daughters and grandchildren…and we did our best…such fun!

In Paraguay the holiday schedule was hectic also. Our church family was busy planning an all-church celebration where the children, youth and music department presented a Christmas program, a dinner and a family fun time. This event always draws in many friends and family also. The office staff members worked diligently to have their responsibilities up-to-date in preparation for their annual vacation. The Bible school students finished up classes and handed in required exam sheets, with anticipation of the holidays and the new classes starting in February. So much to do in such a short time!

In the middle of all these activities, Pastor Victor and the Staff also held a water baptism for new believers. What a wonderful time to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus and make a public statement of their love, faith and hope in Him! Here are some pictures, enjoy!
